PowerPoint 2007: New FeaturesExplore the new look and powerful new features in PowerPoint 2007! Get up-to-speed with this significant new version of PowerPoint in a 3-hour tour of new features, including the new ribbon interface, quick styles, themes, custom slide layouts and shows, rich text & effects, designer-quality "SmartArt" graphics, and much more. Once you learn how easy it is to use the powerful design tools in PowerPoint 2007, you'll be much more productive, easily adding professional-looking touches to even the simplest (or most complex) of slides.
PowerPoint 2007, Level 1In just a few short hours, you can practically be an expert in PowerPoint 2007, creating slide shows "from scratch" or enhancing existing presentations (including those created by earlier versions of PowerPoint). PowerPoint 2007 adds a wide array of easy-to-use but very sophisticated content types, styles, and effects. You'll learn how to use PowerPoint's new "ribbon" interface, and discover why it's so much easier to work with than the old-style Office menus and toolbars, as you create a presentation, adding and rearranging slides. You’ll create slides that not only include standard titles and bullets, but also incorporate charts, tables, photos, clip art, "word art", and more. You'll even be able to import charts and tables directly from Microsoft Excel and Word. No matter what the content, PowerPoint's new formatting tools make it easy to add styles to any of the objects on your slides, adding visual interest without overwhelming the slide. Once your slides have been created and the content is in place, you'll learn how to add "transitions" (visual effects when you move from one slide to the next), how to apply animation effects to a slide, how to create speaker notes, and how to print your presentation, notes, and audience handouts. PowerPoint 2007, Level 1
PowerPoint 2007, Level 2Greatly enhance your PowerPoint skills in our 6-hour "Level 2" workshop. We'll start by customizing the PowerPoint environment, including the Quick Access toolbar, the overall PowerPoint interface, and even customize your "save options." We'll then set up our own "slide master," create custom slide layouts and themes, add headers and footers, and even customize the "speaker notes master" and "handout master." You'll also learn to create and modify diagrams (much more easily than before), add multimedia elements to your slideshow, and customize animations for specific parts of a slide. When it comes time to present your slide show, you have a greater array of options than ever before. Learn to set up a "custom show," annotate your presentation, create a "presenter-independent" slide show, and even set up a slide show to repeat automatically. You'll also learn how to preview a presentation, how to publish slides to a "slide library" for future reuse, and how to share a presentation. Finally, we'll discover how secure a presentation, package a presentation (to a CD or "zip-able" folder), and how to publish a presentation as a Web page. And finally, you'll learn several more techniques to enhance the actual presentation of your PowerPoint slide show. You'll add "internal hyperlinks" that connect one slide to another, complete with "action" and "return" buttons. You'll also set up "custom shows," which allow you to specify which slides of a presentation should be shown, and in what order... without having to "hide" or rearrange slides via slide sorter view. You'll learn how to set slide timings, create automatically repeating slide shows, and even record narration. You'll also be able to "annotate" slides during a presentation, with electronic "pencils," "felt-tipped pens," or "highlighters"... and save your annotations permanently if you wish. PowerPoint 2007, Level 2
PowerPoint 2007: Getting StartedHave you been asked to put together a PowerPoint presentation, but you're not sure how to start? Take this short course and learn the basics, including how to use the new 2007 interface to create slides and put content on them; format and custom design the slides; and prepare speaker notes and handouts.
PowerPoint 2003, Level 1
In the "Level 1" workshop, youll learn how to create slide shows that include not only the standard title and bullet slides, but also incorporate charts, tables, photos, clip art, "Word Art," and "AutoShapes" into your slides. You'll even be able to import charts and tables directly from Microsoft Excel and Word, or bring in an entire presentation outline from Word to PowerPoint. You'll also control the formatting and background of your presentation. Learn how to use the "Slide Sorter" to rearrange the order of your slides, and how best to create and use "Speaker Notes" for your presentation (you'll even learn how to have your Speaker Notes automatically sent to Microsoft Word if you'd like). You'll also master adding "transition effects" for moving dramatically from one slide to another (and how and why not to overdo it!), print customized presentation handouts, and explore the options open to you while actually running your slide show. And finally, you'll see how to package your entire presentation for display on another computer (even one without PowerPoint installed) by using PowerPoint's new "Package for CD Wizard." New Content: Since we're no longer offering a PowerPoint 2003 "Level 2" workshop, we've added the following material to our PowerPoint 2003 "Level 1" workshop: How to apply PowerPoint 2003's new "animation schemes"; how to use "custom animation" ("builds") on individual slides; and how to "hide slides" to customize your presentation (hidden slides can be "revealed" with a single keypress).
